I thought this was a great feature when I ordered it.so I never have to worry about leaving it on by accident and leaving the house. This is a great coffee maker for the 6 months it actually worked. Coffee snobs would say you should make a fresh pot if it has been sitting out that long.but we aren't that fussy and wish this feature could be switched on or off to suit our needs. However, there are many mornings that I make coffee very early and by the time my husband is ready for a cup, the machine has turned off. I will not purchase this model or any Black & Decker model since this guy had such a short life. One down side is that is turns off after being on for 2 hours.
Timed/Programmed coffee, sneak a cup, easy fill water, and easy remove/clean coffee filter basket. That one went back to the store.I decided to try my luck with another Black and Decker and love it. No seal problems on this one. We previously had another Black and Decker, and loved it. This one is a great deal, will make a great cup of coffee and is not a lot of fuss. The coffee it made was WEAK. Unfortunately the seal wore out, and water began seeping on the counter.After a good deal of research of other makers on the market in a reasonable price range - I settled on the Michael Graves, based largely on the "flavor boost" button. The flavor boost just barely made it normal.
It works great. Its a great coffee pot -- I actually bought it to brew tea in.
My old pot would spill every time I would fill it with fresh water or pour a cup too quickly. Highly recommended. This is the best coffee maker to date I have purchased. I have yet to spill anything doing either with this fine coffee maker. Good Job Black and Decker. It makes a perfect pot every time and does not spill a drop. I never have grounds in my coffee because the filter never curls up.
The price was a steal for the features and my experiences with Black & Decker have always been positive. Bought this coffeemaker to replace one from a different manufacturer that had been recalled as a fire hazard. This product has every feature I wanted and then some, it is also an atractive appliance.
